Virtual Tours

There are some places you can take a virtual tour.

Review:
I have on been on a few virtual tours, but I know some good and bad reasons about virtual tours. Some times virtual tours can be not as immersive as the creator wanted them to be, they could not give the users the effect they wanted to be given. Some of the virtual tours can be outdated and the HD is very bad, that has to be the worst thing about virtual tours.

Most of the virtual tours can be very accurate and give you the effect you wanted to receive, something that can make you feel you are inside the computer virtually seeing the object is the Oculus Rift. Some highlight I enjoy on some tours are seeing some of the most popular things in the world e.g. MovieWorld, DisneyLand etc.

My favourite virtual tour is LegoLand as the layout of everything is very well planned and the structure of everything is easy to navigate around. It is a tiny bit glitchy but other than that it's perfect.

Homework

Advice for year 7's

  • DO NOT go on different sites during work, if you are suppose to be doing maths DO IT don't do something off task.
  • A tip for some boys if you are cautious of people judging your body, you can put your P.E pants under your school pants.
  • Try not to drink from the room 29 fountain to much as it will start to hurt your fingers because it is faulty.
  • Do not hang out with the wrong people as they can get you into quiet a lot of trouble.
  • When you do ZUMBA do not be afraid to release the inner woman.
  • Do not back chat your teacher if you get growled as it will get you into even more trouble.
  • Last of all be nice to everyone and do not exclude anyone.

Life ED

This year we had Life Education and I really enjoyed the lessons as I did last year, I gathered a lot of useful information that I can use for future reference. I found out the most important part of your brain is Short term, Long term, Now thinking, Present thinking and Future thinking. If we smoke drugs we will be affecting Short term and Future thinking, now this will not be good because everything that we have learnt in about an hour will be forgotten and you will not know what you are doing if you where thinking about a future action you would forget about what you would be doing.

Illegal drugs in New Zealand
Cannabis
Ecstasy
Stimulants (includes methamphetamine)
LSD + synthetic hallucinogens
Opiates
Prescriptions sedatives
Injected drugs

Translation

1.Explain what a translation is.
A Translation is another word for movement, so if I have a crate I need something to Translate that crate to a a different location.

2.Explain how a vector works. What does it look like? What does the top number indicate? What does the bottom number indicate?
(3)<--This number means Left or Right.
(2)<--This number means Up or Down.
A vector is two numbers inside of 2 brackets, which the bottom numbers indicate going Up or Down, and the top numbers indicate Left or Down.

3.Give a real life example of when translation is used.
Like I stated in my previous explanation, picking up a crate and moving it to a different location.

Is the book disapparing

Before knowing anything about it
I think that books ARE disappearing because we have so many connections through technology. All of the books that we have in paper form are on Ebook and stuff like that. If we make books we need paper and where do we get paper from? We get it from trees, and we need trees for oxygen. But for technology we are still using resources e.g. power. There are plenty advantages and dis-advantages towards both of the objects, but it looks like people enjoy the technology side of it way more. Books only do a few things, you read them and then you are done, and you store them away for ages. Technology you can read a book and then you can proceed to do other and way more entertaining stuff.

Advantages for books
Books are portable, durable, infinitely re-printable, require no batteries or electricity and cost way more less. Books can go with a person anywhere, and be read everywhere.

"MUM, where are my favourite socks!" I asked yelling for help.
"And where are my Tuesday undies," asked dad searching through his draws.
"You know I have to wear them today."
"Just wear Mondays undies, no one is going to know," replied mum.
"No ones going to know."
"I'm going to know and to wear mondays undies, pfft that would be idiotic," dad answered back with a streak in his voice.
This was only the beginning of our family disaster, for the next few weeks things were starting to disappear and fast. With dad losing his Tuesday undies and me losing my favourite socks, Isaac then lost his favourite bow tie while mum then lost her favourite dress. We thought we were going mental, "Its not like they could just hop up and run away," said Isaac. Mum suggested that we
"Recap our steps, when was the last time you had your items?" she said.
We all replied, "Before washing day was the last time we had them."
"So maybe its the washing machine thats caused all this drama," Mum said with a glimpse and hope in her eyes. We checked the washing machine, there was… nothing.

With nothing to prove, I decided to put a Go-Pro in the machine to watch it in action. To see if there was something suspicious really happening inside. What I didn’t realise was that the washing machine would take my Go-Pro too.
"AHHH ITS GONE!" I yelled at the top of my voice.
"What are we going to do?"
"Lets just give up," Mum said to me.
"Fine if that’s the best idea," I moaned.
"A few weeks later Isaac had dropped his toy car behind the washing machine, and as we were looking for it a pair of undies popped up out of the blue, just sitting there.
"Mum look," I said with a big grin on my face.
"Who would have guessed?" We both stood there smiling.

Punctuation 2

"Morning class," greeted Miss Green. It was an ordinary day, and everyone was sitting at their wooden desks with pens and pencils by their side. The sweet sound of voices filling the room brought music to my ears, I decide to listen in on Brittneys conversation with Ella
"OMG, last night I reached into my bag to get out my book and it wasn’t there!" explained Brittney.
"No way!" replied Ella.
"That exact thing happened to me, I was sure I put it into my bag."

This is a little strange, I thought to myself, why are things disappearing? Eventually the bell went and it was time to go home, I told my mum what I had witnessed at school, and she was lost for words. That night I couldn't get Brittney and Ella's conversation out of my head, I grabbed my laptop out of my bag to google this mystery. As I unzipped the case I looked down only to see that there was no laptop in my bag, this is insane. I decided to look in my other pocket of my bag, and to my surprise my lunch box was also missing.

The sun was shining, birds singing it seemed like an ordinary day. I walked into my class that is usually full of colour, but not today. My class looked like a prison cell. "What happened," I gasped.
"Don't worry," kids assured Miss Green.
We have a thief in our class and I am going to get to the bottom of this, one by one Miss Green started checking our bags, everyone seemed relaxed except for James, Miss Green made her way down the line and James was last to be checked,
"Oh," said Miss Green looking rather lost.
"What is this?" she asked James.
As she pulled out two books, a pencil case, my laptop and two class posters from James's bag.

I was utterly shocked to say the least.
"I am so sorry!" cried James.
"It's just that everyone has laptops or books and our class is so colourful that i wanted to take some of it home to make my house look better,"
"The truth is that you should be happy with what you have and not want stuff from other people."

Punctuation 1

It was a monday morning, I just got woken up by my Mum to get ready for school. I got out of bed and reached down for my uniform, but it wasn't there. I looked under my bed, under my pillows. But I couldn't find my uniform anywhere,
"Kaidin, have you gotten in the shower yet?"
"No Mum, I can't find my uniform."
"Well you better find it quick, or you will be going to school in your onesie."
"But Mum, I can't find it anywhere, it’s like its just disappeared!"
"Oh sure, just like all your other stuff huh?"
"Kaidin, I got a note to go to school with you to say that your uniform is lost and that you have to wear mufti just for today.

Which was a pain because every teacher I walked past asked why I'm in mufti and where my uniform is, so I just showed them the note and moved on. When I got home I went to go grab my iPod from where I always put it, but I looked and that wasn't there either. I yelled out to my Mum "Mum, have you seen my iPod!"
"No, but do you know where you last put it?"
"Mum, if I knew where I last put it ,do you think I'd be asking you where it is?" "Sorry, just trying to help."
I thought to myself that I'll try to find it later. So I run into my room to go on my PS3, but surprise surprise, it’s not there,
"Mum."
"Oh, what now Kaidin."
"I know you're up to mischief, tell me where all my stuff is!"
"Kaidin, do you really think I would hide your uniform away from you, so you would go to school in your onesie?"
"Now what’s gone missing?"
"My PS3 the whole thing, the controller is here but not my HDMI cable, power cord and my Elgato."
I really couldn't be bothered looking for all my stuff because it will take me hours, so I just thought of going for a bike ride. I walk outside to get my bike and I couldn't believe it, my bike had no tyres. By this time I've had enough, I went up to my Mum and said,
"Mum, I know you’ve put all my stuff somewhere, please can I have it back."
"Kaidin, I have hidden your stuff away would you like to get it back?"
"Yes where is it, where is it, where is it!"
"Right here."
My Mum led me to her bedroom where my stuff was all scattered around the room. My PS3, the power cord, the HDMI, my Elgato and my iPod was under her drawers. And my bike tyres were under Liam's bed, and my uniform was in my Mum's drawers.
"Okay, thanks Mum for hiding my stuff."
"Thats okay, I'll do it again sometime."
"Hahaha, yeah right."

PEEL Paragraph

Rimu is the best syndicate at TIS.

Rimu is the best syndicate at TIS because we are independent workers and we are always trying our best. Firstly, when we are given something to do we finish it no matter how we finish as long as it is finished, for example our homework we can finish it early to get ahead in class to do more work. Secondly, we are always putting our all in, for example, in Ultimate Relay we will try our best and win. Thirdly, we try our best to strike fear into all our competitors so we can over through them in all competitions, for example we do our Rimu chant as proud and as loud as we can. Over all that is why I think Rimu is the best syndicate in TIS, because we work as one and try our best to thrive to the top.
